Jalea de menta

Its name means "mint jelly" and it's a lovely spot to visit if you're fond of an amazing sea view, delicious cakes and teas, different decoration (which reminds me of "Desperate Housewives") and, of course, if you visit Tenerife =)

Seing you soon

Hey readers, I'm happy to announce I'm going to leave you for a while. That sounded bad, but there's a good explanation: I'm going to Madrid with some friends tomorrow, and I will come back with plenty of stories to tell. / ¡Buenas! Estoy feliz de anunciar que los voy a dejar por un tiempo. Eso sonó mal, pero hay una buena explicación: Me voy a Madrid con unas amigas mañana, y voy a volver con un montón de historias para contar.

Why so happy? because I can still remember a similar week, last year, like one of the best weeks of my short life. This one is going to be different, no doubt, but still great, i'm sure./ ¿Por qué estoy tan feliz? Mornin'! Today I'm going to talk about a topic that is really concerning me. As, I guess, you already know, my home country is Argentina, though i live in Spain now. And, even though I had already heard something about it, i found out some days ago the big problem there is between the aborigines who live there (mapuches) and the billionaire Benetton family. / Buenos días!! Hoy les hablo de un tema que me tiene preocupada. como creo que ya sabrán, mi país de origen es Argentina, aunque ahora viva en España. Y, aunque ya sabía algo, me enteré hace poco el gran problema que existe con la población aborigen que vive ahí (mapuches) y los multimultimultimillonarios Benetton.

The law reads:
It's guaranteed "the posession and ownership of those lands they (the indigenes) traditionally occupy" . And It also claims that "none (of these lands) will be sold"
But the money salways triumphs. And the mapuche population has no access to the river water which they drank, thanks to which they could grow they nourishment, with which they showered and... lived, only because a paper says that the family who does not distinguish between races...

garantiza a los aborígenes"la posesión y propiedad de las tierras que tradicionalmente ocupan” y aseguran que "ninguna (de esas tierras) será enajenable”
Pero el dinero gana, obviamente. Y los mapuches no tienen acceso al agua del río del que bebían, gracias al cual crecían sus alimentos, se duchaban y... vivían, porque un papel dice que la familia que no distingue entre razas...

it is the owner of these lands, lands of a country it doesn't belong to, in which it doesn't even live. /Es la dueña de esas tierras, tierras de un país al que no pertenecen, en el que ni siquiera viven.


Maybe it's because they are all small and fat, and they are not good enaugh for being models.../Será que son todos bajitos y regordetes y no le sirven de modelos...

Or maybe it's because they have no money for buying their clothes.../ O que no tienen dinero para comprar sus ropas...

But they're still people, right? And they know nothing about papers or legislation, because they were born there, in the same place where their grandparents, and also their great-grandparents did... The truth is that it's not the Italian brand fault, but those who sold the land. however, meanwhile, they're still homeless.
It got me thinking... I hope at least one of you, too =) Let's enjoy what we have, and thank the world for giving us what everyone deserves, and only few owns.
/Pero siguen siendo personas, ¿no? Y ellos no saben nada de papeles ni de leyes, porque nacieron ahí, en el mismo lugar donde lo habían hecho sus abuelos, y los abuelos de éstos...
Lo cierto es que la culpa no la tiene la marca italiana, sino aquellos que le vendieron las tierras... pero, mientras tanto, ellos siguen sin su hogar.
Me dio qué pensar... espero que al menos a uno de ustedes, también =) Disfrutemos de lo que tenemos, y demos gracias al mundo por darnos lo que todos se merecen, y sólo unos pocos tienen.

I've got to go to the gym! I'm pretty fat because of Christma's dinners, hahaha.

¡Por cierto! Olvidé decir que estos días estoy de suerte entre los blogs! Me gané un collar precioso de una de las tiendas de Etsy (¿recuerdan que la comenté hace un tiempito?) Gracias al blog de Luphia ^^
Tengo que irme al gimnasio! Que estoy bastante gordita por las comidas navideñas, hahaha.

Inspire yourself (II)

Hey. I'm here again. I'm writing this at night (it's almost 0:00, magic time) So, I am really glad you guys enjoyed today's writing. It was quite hard to translate the text! But who knows, maybe someday I'll have enaugh money to make a journey or even live in a country where they speak English, and so i'll be able to learn it properly, and let my feelings fly in more than only one language. / Hola. Aquí estoy de nuevo. Escribo esto de noche (son casi las 0:00, hora mágica). Estoy muy contenta de que hayan disfrutado de mis escritos de hoy. Fue bastante difícil traducir el texto! Pero quién sabe, puede que algún día tenga el dinero suficiente para hacer un viaje a, o incluso vivir en un país donde hablen inglés, y entonces lo aprenderé apropiadamente, y dejaré que mis sentimientos vuelen en más de una lengua.
These days I'm dreaming of going to England. I guess I find it mysterious and charming. After all, that's where my loves are from (I'm talking about Harry Potter and The Beatles, of course, hahaha ^^). / Estos días sueño con ir a Inglaterra. La encuentro misteriosa y encantadora. Después de todo, de ahí vienen mis amores (hablo de Harry Potter y Los Beatles, por supuesto, hahahaha ^^)


Tomorrow I'm planing of going to a café with some friends. I'm sure you'd love it! It has University atmosphere; there's a piano you can play if you want (when someone plays music, the moments there become trully magic) and a lot of books and magazines to read if you're fond of it. And the Apple pie is... i couldn't describe it with just one word. It's served hot and appealing (its look makes you hungry, instantly!) joined by some vanilla's ice-cream. so the combination makes your sences fly through the sky and come back to earth with a big stupid smile. That's happiness for a little while. God, I love eating cakes. / Mañana estoy planeo ir a un café con unos amigos. Estoy segura de que les encantaría! Tiene ambiente universitario; hay un piano que se puede tocar si uno quiere (cuando alguien toca música, los momentos se convierten verdaderamente en algo mágico) y un montón de libros y revistas que se pueden leer si uno tiene ganas. Y el pastel de manzana es... no podría describirlo con sólo una palabra. Lo sirven caliente y atrayente (su aspecto te pone hambrienta, al instante!) acompañado por helado de vainilla. La combinación hace que tus sentidos vuelen por el cielo y vuelvan a la tierra con una gran y estúpida sonrisa. Es felicidad por un ratito. Dios, adoro las tartas.

It's already 0:00. If I had sent back those e-mails i hate the most, someone would be suppossed to call me right now and tell me he's my true love. but i don't send them back, so I'm not hearing the phone (maybe he's got the wrong number), and I guess i'll have no luck for the next 10 years. But that's not true, because you're reading me, and that makes me really lucky =)
I need to sleep. Tomorrow may be the best day of my life, and I want to enjoy it completely.
Have a nice sleep... / Ya son las 0:00. Si hubiese enviado esos e-mails que más odio, se supone que alguien me estaría llamando ahora para decirme que es mi verdadero amor. Pero no los envío, así que no estoy escuchando el teléfono (puede que él tenga el número equivocado), y supongo que no tendré suerte por los próximos 10 años. Pero eso no es verdad, porque me estás leyendo, y eso me hace muy afortunada =). Necesito dormir. Mañana puede que sea el mejor día de mi vida, y quiero disfrutarlo completamente. Que duerman bien...
