It's cold outside...

Well, actually, it is not, because i'm back home to The Canary Islands, and so I'm wearing shorts, not coats.
It's still Christmas, even if it's 20 degrees, so I hope you spend these special days with your family and friends, eating like crazy, drinking some wine, kissing under the mistletoe and resting!
Bueno, la verdad es que no, porque estoy de vuelta en casa, en las Islas Canarias, así que llevo shorts, no abrigos. Pero sigue siendo Navidad, aunque haga 20 grados, así que espero que pasen estos días especiales con su familia y amigos, comiendo como locos, bebiendo algo de vino, besándose bajo el muérdago y descansando :)

What a night the St. John's

It was.... really surrealistic. Well, I guess that's the way it should be: magic. I laughed sheltered by the sound of waves and people chatting and singing, I was mesmerized by the fire and its strange sparks, and danced to the rhythm of drums wearing a long skirt, which brushed my legs over and over, and the dark sand hit by my feet.

It was everything I could ask for a night.

fue... muy surrealista. pero bueno, supongo que es lo que debía ser: mágica. Reí cobijada por el ruido de las olas y de la gente charlando y cantando, me hipnoticé con el fuego y sus caprichosas chispas, y bailé a ritmos de tambores con una falda larga y ligera rozando mis piernas, y arena oscura chocando contra mis pies.

Exitement!!!

Today's my graduation day! And my gift from my parents has been this lovely macbook I'm writing from. waoh! I love it!!

today there's gonna be a big party, all night long... cannot wait!

I have never been to a wedding, but I have always been quite surprised by the way people dress for the occation (and I don't mean the bright). I don't know if it's just me, but when I see women going out from the church, they look aweful in those excentric dresses and weird hats! It's worse than going to the circus! I wonder what would I wear... / Nunca he ido a un casamiento, pero siempre me ha sorprendido bastante la manera en que se viste la gente para la ocasión (y no me refiero a la novia). No sé si soy sólo yo, pero cuando veo a las mujeres salir de la iglesia, se ven horrorosas en esos vestidos excéntricos y esos sombreros tan raros. Es peor que ir al circo! Me pregunto qué llevaría yo...



PS: I know "after hours" from velvet underground is not what you're suppossed to listen to when you come into my blog (after all, my blog's name is "penny lane"), but I have this song in my mind, and cannot stop singing it! I promise I'll be back to "the Beatles" soon!

Hey readers, I'm happy to announce I'm going to leave you for a while. That sounded bad, but there's a good explanation: I'm going to Madrid with some friends tomorrow, and I will come back with plenty of stories to tell. / ¡Buenas! Estoy feliz de anunciar que los voy a dejar por un tiempo. Eso sonó mal, pero hay una buena explicación: Me voy a Madrid con unas amigas mañana, y voy a volver con un montón de historias para contar.

Why so happy? because I can still remember a similar week, last year, like one of the best weeks of my short life. This one is going to be different, no doubt, but still great, i'm sure./ ¿Por qué estoy tan feliz? New year coming...

Awww! I am so exited about tonight. I tell you now: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
What have i been doing these days? Apart from making the enormous necklace (you'll see how nice it looks!!) I've been trying to decide how to have my hair done. It came to my mind the idea of braids, something like a tribute to the hairstyle of the year. And i found this: / Awww!Estoy tan emocionada por esta noche. Se los digo ahora: ¡¡¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!!! ¿Qué he estado haciendo estos días? Además de hacer el enorme collar (¡¡verán lo bien que queda!!), he estado intentando decidir cómo peinarme. Me vino a la mente la idea de las trenzas, algo así como un homenaje al peinado del año. Y encontré esto:
