The Beauty of Spring

sSpringtime is made for being cheerful; colors start blooming as flowers do, and the new bright light lets us enjoy every object as if it was the first time we saw it. Food becomes a new pleasure, trips for the summer are planned and dreamed about, and we fall in love with old clothes again. This is my favorite time to go to museums, parks and new cities, the best weather to enjoy my friends, ride bikes, read tons of books and have breakfast joined by the morning breeze.
La primavera está hecha para estar contento; los colores aparecen junto con las flores, y la nueva luz, mucho más brillante, nos permite disfrutar de cada cosa como si fuese la primera vez que la viéramos. La comida se convierte en un placer, se planean y se sueñan los viajes del verano y nos volvemos a enamorar de la ropa vieja. Es mi momento preferido para ir a museos, parques y nuevas ciudades, con el clima ideal para aprovechar el tiempo con amigos, montar en bici, leer un montón de libros y desayunar acompañado del viento de la mañana.








My black cat with bat ears is more and more curious about this new season, and so he travels around the building, smelling every new aroma (even if it is our neighbour's fries).
Mi gato negro con orejas de murciélago cada vez le da más y más curiosidad la nueva estación, así que viaja por el edificio oliendo los nuevos aromas (aunque sean las papas fritas del vecino)

Nature wakes up, and we wake up with it; we are born again with the sunrays that make us take our sweaters off.
La naturaleza se despierta, y nosotros con ella; volvemos a nacer con los rayos de sol que hacen que nos quitemos las chaquetas.



We stop enjoying the cozy winter, only to welcome the season that fills us with energy

Fall into fall

First official day of Fall. For me, at least.
Nice afternoon full of blankets, movies, Ben&Jerrys chocolate ice-cream and now music and my beloved Patri's tumblr...
And let's not forget about my new cat, did I tell you about him? It's all I can talk about now, he's like the baby king of the house. More news is I'm living with new roommates, and also I spent a month in Paris this summer, which means plenty of new people and new plans for this year. Oh! and I even changed my career... looks like i have a whole new life, and I'm enjoying it so much :)
Aunt Bettie is going to take a lot of pictures of Cat Francesco soon, I'm sure, and then I'll show you how lovely he is.
/ Primer día oficial de otoño, por lo menos para mí. Una tarde genial, llena de mantas, películas, Ben&Jerrys de chocolate y ahora música y el adorado tumblr de mi amiga Patri... Y no nos olvidemos de mi nuevo gato, ¿ya les escribí sobre él? Últimamente no hablo de otra cosa, es como el pequeño rey bebé de la casa. Más noticias: estoy viviendo con nuevos compañeros de piso, y también me pasé un mes en París este verano, lo que significa nueva gente y planes para este año, y hasta me cambié de carrera... parece que tengo toda una nueva vida, y la estoy disfrutando tanto! :)
La tía Bettie va a sacarle un montón de fotos al Gato Francesco pronto, estoy segura, y entonces podré mostrarles lo precioso que es.

What are you currently reading? I am starting a new book about Budism and life in the Tibet, I'll tell you how I like it. If you cannot think about anything to read, I recommend you to read these books: two classics that i consider perfect for the season.

So, I'm decorating my room, and I do need to go to Ikea. And though the swedish store itself is inspiration enough, it wouldn't kill me to have your opinion about a perfect bedroom... and, specially, could you recommend me some plants that are less likely to be killed by my clumsiness and that don't need too much sun? This is kind of what I want, some green life!
/ Estoy decorando mi habitación, y de verdad necesito ir a Ikea. Y aunque la tienda sueca en sí misma sea inspiración suficiente, no me mataría saber su opinión sobre una habitación perfecta... y, especialmente interesada estoy en que me recomienden algunas plantas que sean menos proclives a ser asesinadas por mi eterna torpeza y que no necesiten demasiado sol. Algo así es lo que me gustaría tener, un poco de vida verde!



I don't know about you, but I cannot wait it to be cold so I can wear some sweaters and coats and scarfs and boots... And this Fall I want my wardrobe to look like Fenn Sean's for Hero Magazine (and also my roommates', they have this great style):

Just a few days for me to come back home for Christmas! You have no idea how much i miss my cat!! (and family ^^) / Mmm... chocolate caliente con nubes... me encantaría tomarme una taza ahora :) ¡Sólo quedan unos días para volver a casa por Navidad! No no se dan una idea de todo lo que extraño a mi gata! (y a mi familia ^^)

I've been seeing pre-fall collections... I should say I find them pretty different and... some of them even weird! Though I loved Jason Wu's, and Chanel's showed, I think, a nice change. / He estado mirando las pre-colecciones de otoño... tengo que decir que me parecieron bastante distintas y algunas, hasta un poco raras. Pero me encantó la de Jason Wu, y la de Chanel mostró, creo, un buen cambio.

So fall is here...

November 24th

Finally :) / Por fin :)

I wonder... which are the clues that make me feel fall is here...? / Me pregunto... ¿Cuáles son las pistas que me hacen sentir el otoño?

1st: I am sick at home (again!)
so, I went to spend two days in a friend's, whose parents take care of me as they were my own :) But now I'm home again, and I have is my roommates to feel good and my lovely friend to visit me. Delicious chocolate talk. /1ª: estoy enferma (de nuevo) Así que fui a pasar un par de días a la casa de una amiga, y sus padres me cuidan como si fueran los míos :) Pero ahora estoy de vuelta en casa, y tengo a mis compañeros de piso para sentirme bien y a mi querida amiga para visitarme. Deliciosa charla con chocolate.

2nd: We're preparing Thanksgiving
International thenksgiving (as you may already know, I'm in Madrid, living with two american guys and a girl from Andalucía. Plus, two of our guests are French, so I guess it'll be fun) Tomorrow's the day and just now my rommate Evan came into the kitchen with the Turkey... what's its name...? Turkey Anson (We miss you!) Waoh, you should see it, it's huge! and we've got pumpkin too. God, we're going to start cooking right now! This is so exiting! My first Thanksgiving dinner!!! /2ª: estamos preparando acción de gracias. Un acción de gracias internacional (como ya sabrán, estoy en Madrid, viviendo con dos chicos americanos y una chica de Andalucía. Además, dos de nuestros invitados son franceses, así que supongo que va a ser entretenido) Mañana es el día, y mi compañero Evan acaba de entrar en la cocina con el pavo... ¿cómo se llama...? El pavo Anson (te echamos de menos!) Guau, deberían verlo, es enorme! Y también tenemos una calabaza. Dios, vamos a empezar a cocinar ahora mismo! Qué emocionante! Mi primera cena de acción de gracias!

3rd: It's quite cold outside
5 degrees, sometimes even colder; but I can't stop going for walks with friends / 3ª: hace frío en la calle. 5 grados, a veces incluso más frío, pero no puedo dejar de salir a dar paseos por ahí con mis amigas

4th: I feel like reading "Leaves of Grass"
/ 4ª: tengo ganas de leer "Hojas de hierba"

5th: The world has become brown, orange, yellow and red.

you may wonder what it has to do with fall. well, I miss it in Fall as well :( / 7ª: extraño muchísimo a mi gata. se preguntarán qué tiene que ver eso con el otoño. bueno, en otoño la extraño de todas maneras. :(

8th: I'm always in the mood for tea and cookies!
