Fashion's night out

It's everywhere (In Vogue Spain September issue, most of all), and i envy every Madrid-New York- Athens- Paris- London- Milan- Moscow- Berlin- India- Milano- Beijing- Tokyo- Brazil citizen (or those who are there the eleventh with invitation)!! / No paro de verlo en todas partes (sobre todo en el número de septiembre de vogue), y me muero de envidia por todos los que viven en madrid- Nueva York- Atenas- París- Londres- Milán- Moscú- Berlín- India- Milán- Pekín- Tokio- Brazil, o están ahí para esas fechas con invitación.



For those who ignore what i'm talking about (which i doubt you're too much), it is a Big Fashion's Party celebrated in the streets of 12 different cities around the world. It starts at eight o'clock, and the stores are open until... it depends on the city (NYC: 11 p.m, Madrid: 12 p.m, and so on) In spain, the fashion spot will be Madrid shopping zone (Ortega y Gasset, Serrano and Almirante)
/ Para los que no saben lo que es (cosa que dudo que haya demasiados), es una gran fiesta de la moda que se celebra por las calles de 12 ciudades de todo el mundo. Empieza a las 8 de la noche, y las tiendas permanecen abiertas hasta... depende de la ciudad (NYC: 11 p.m, Madrid: 12 p.m, etc). El punto de la moda en España será en las grandes zonas comerciales de Madrid (Ortega y Gasset, y los entornos de Serrano y Almirante).



The stores will offer different discounts, they will give free make-up sessions to their clients (like Georgio Armani store) and the designers will be at their own stores. Models and stars will be shopping too. A night full of fashion which tryes to enclose this world to everyone, celebrate and enjoy shopping and, most of all, escape from the crisis (designers escape, of cours, not us).
/ Las tiendas ofrecerán descuentos, regalarán a sus clientes sesiones de maquillaje y asesoría personal (como Giorgio Armani) e incluso estarán en sus tiendas los propios diseñadores. Modelos y estrellas también estarán comprando. Una noche llena de moda en la que se pretende acercar a este mundo a la gente de a pie, celebrar este arte en sí y, sobre todo, escapar de la crisis (los diseñadores, claro, no nosotros). Si quieren saber más, lo tienen bien explicado aquí por Yolanda Sacristán, directora de Vogue España.

Just think of happy things...

/simplemente piensa en cosas que nos hacen felices, y tu corazón volará con alas...



The image of such a sentence, and the first thing that comes to my mind too, are a big smile and a heart with wings on it. It turns kind of funny, so i draw an automatic smile. But then, i keep on thinking, and the truth is this sentence is deeper than that.Thinking positive is the only thing that make us possible to stand up after falling down, that's what makes us believe that whatever happens, we can go on. After a while of reflecting, i even consider it synonymous with hope.
So, as peter pan once said: let's think of happy things =)
/La imagen gráfica ante semajante frase, y lo primero que llega a mi mente, es una gran sonrisa y un corazón con alas. Me resulta cómico, y automáticamente sonrío.
Pero luego sigo pensando, y lo cierto es que la frase es más profunda que eso. Pensar en positivo es lo único que nos permite levantarnos al caer, lo que nos convence de que pase lo que pase podemos seguir adelante. Tras un rato de reflexión, la considero un sinónimo de esperanza.

I'm already back! it hasn't been very long, has it?

It seems, tough, that i have to make some sacrifices in order to deserve it for real. here comes the rules:/ Muchas gracias Ésmeri =)! siempre es un placer leer tanto tu blog como tus comentarios. Parece, sin embargo, que tengo que hacer ciertos sacrificios para merecerlo de verdad. aquí vienen las reglas:

10 honest things about myself: /10 cosas honestas sobre mí:

1. I hate eating octopus. everyone i know love this food, and i've tried to eat it, i've tried to convince myself that i like it.... it is absolutley worthless. I will never try it again! i prefer eating cakes!/ Odio comer pulpo. todo el mundo que conozco adora esta comida, he intentado convencerme a mí misma de que me gusta... pero es absolutamente inútil. nunca lo voy a volver a probar! prefiero comer pasteles!


2. i've read at least 4 times every Harry Potter book... i say at least, because the first one must've been read like 15 times or so. /He leído al menos 5 veces cada libro de Harry Potter... digo al menos, porque el primero lo debo haber leído unas 15 veces.



3. i hate cellphones. they always interrupt me doing something (it doesn't matter if i'm just watching a movie or reading, it gets on my nerves). and if i'm actually waiting for someone to call me or send me a message, that's the time when Orange remembers me and i remember how much i hate it. /Odio los móviles- celulares. siempre me interrumpen haciendo algo (no importa si sólo estoy mirando una película o leyendo, me pone de los nervios). y si estoy esperando una llamada de alguien, o un mensaje, ése es el momento cuando Orange me recuerda, y yo recuerdo así mismo cuánto lo odio.



4. If i had to chose where to travell right now, i'd say the 60's. no doubt. /si tuviese que elegir dónde viajar ahora mismo, diría los 60, sin duda.



5. i can spend hours and hours and hours in front of my computer, just admiring fashion blogs. / puedo pasarme horas y horas y horas enfrente del ordenador, simplemente admirando blogs de moda.



6. i usually can't stand white shoes (specially boots) nor white purses. i feel like a cheap hore on them :S! / normalmente no puedo aguantar los zapatos blancos (especialmente las botas) ni los bolsos blancos. me siento como una furcia barata con ellos puestos :S!



7. I will always love music. they say "never say never" but i just know that if i say "i will never stop loving music" it MUST be true. / siempre amaré la música. dicen "nunca digas nunca" pero yo sólo sé que si digo: "nunca dejaré de amar la música" DEBE ser cierto.



8. I cannot wait for next summer (i will be 18, and travell around Europe ♥) I want to discover places like this one: / no puedo esperar al verano que viene (tendré 18, y viajaré por Europa ♥) Quiero descubrir lugares como éste:



Shakespeare & CO., Paris.

9. I am a tv shows' total freak. (I never get tired of watching friends, the OC or Gossip Girl) / soy una completa friky de las series de televisión. (nunca me canso de ver friends, OC o Gossip Girl)



10. I'm crazy in love with coffee, tea, cakes and lovely hats. / estoy totalmente enamorada del café, el té, los pasteles y los sombreros que resultan encantadores.
